Portrait commissioned by GGD

march 2008 - The area health authority (GGD) in the province of Brabant wished to complete its gallery of paintings of all managers who headed the service over the past 50 years.
Three managers still lacking from the period 1950-1965 were to be immortalized by Govert.
Unfortunately, he could use only black-and-white photos for these portraits.
Govert transferred these photos into colour canvas paintings.
The result was astonishing. The past came to life again.
To achieve harmony in this triptych, Govert used a limited range of four colours and kept the background in the same hue.
