GALLERY HIGHLIGHTS:

Wallpainting TU Delft

Wall mural The difficulty with this assignment was too visualize what exactly this department was doing, because they work underground.
Before every large building project there will be a ground investigation, unfortunately this research will never be visible to anyone.
That’s why Govert has used colored horizontal ground layers in different tints. On top of these he has sketched shapes of buildings.
In the big cliff painting Govert used well-known scientific formula’s on a graph line, in which different elements come to play (transparent house, fundament, ground layers).

The walls have the following dimensions:
300 cm wide X 420 cm high
400 cm wide X 420 cm high
1350 cm length X 140 cm high (long cliff)

Ceiling Painting Schipluiden

Wall mural Ruud Krijnen has made the design for this ceiling painting. Together, Govert and Ruud put the drawing on the ceiling!
The shelves and the frame (tromp líeul) around the painting are especially the work of Govert. He spent 2 months on it. Because you are in a uncomfortable position, the work is very tiring.

Mural

Especially in its murals Govert Muijs takes the opportunity to exploit the space totally, which seems to have no boundary for him. He always wants to break out from the assigned format. At the same time he tries to let the mural communicates with existing, real objects in the assigned space, using suggestive three-dimensional techniques.

At each task for a mural there will be a close consultation with the client, by means of sketches, to see if the mural will fit in, and can and may be integrated in the available company space.
