by JOHAN DE WIT Almost each artist is in searching and works in his own style. The artist (from Bussumse, Netherlands) Govert Muijs does this in his giving interpretation and eye misleading way of painting.

By this technique his works become a part of the interieur. On top of this, the artist put details in the painting that corspond with the persons personal living, such as profession, family ring, and past and future.

Nice example

Nice example of the way in which this artist realises his tasks, is the work which he made for the waitingroom of a psychotherapists practis in Bussum. It gives the impression of a halfly being open cupboard.

Muijs:" By showing the contents of a mount cupboard, you reflect who someone is, can, what he does, how they or he thinks. You can show what is read or eaten, which hobby's and even which desires have someone."

A another example of the particular, outside the frame continuing way of painting itself, reflected a hairdresser, both seen infront of and behind the mirror. It was a reward ,to her, for a lot of years faithful service in a pleasant working environment.

Interesting also the painting that three daughters gave as a pressent to their father, in which both the family appetites and its own individualities and the profession are clearly expressed, and even appear that there an afterthought is who with its dog steps outside the frame.
